Glenorchy

Glenorchy is situated at the head of Lake Wakatipu, a spectacular 45 minute scenic drive from Queenstown. Glenorchy is a peaceful, rustic village famous for internationally recognized walking tracks including the Caples, Greenstone and Routeburn Tracks and Rees and Dart Valleys.

Because Glenorchy is in the heart of the Westland World Heritage National Park, there is a wealth of outdoor activities, attractions and breath taking scenery to enjoy. It is also an ideal location for fun water activities like jet-boat rides up the Dart River, or kayaking and canoeing. Glenorchy is a key fishing attraction with the lake open for fishing all year round.
